St Katharine Docks near Tower Bridge // London street photography.

St Katharine Docks is one of those hidden London gems located right next to one of London’s most visited landmark: Tower Bridge. If you face Tower Bridge looking South, St Katharine Docks is located on the left right behind the Guoman Tower Hotel.

The marina at St Katharine Docks is home to beautiful boats and has direct access to River Thames through a lock.

While a few centuries ago it’d have been a place where rare and expensive spice would be offloaded, today it is surrounded with offices and a mix of commercial and residential property. It’s a good place to have a drink or a bite too.

I like this place, it’s an oasis of calm and usually not noticed by too many tourists.

Photography has many benefits, one of them is you get to know your city like the back of your hand and I know London like a cabbie, I just don’t swear as much.
