Southbank Centre // London street photography.
A business man walking near the Southbank Centre / Royal Festival Hall in London.
The Southbank Centre is such a great location for photography of all sorts. You can shoot excellent landscape photography if you know where to look and of course street photography since it is a place with a real buzz to it and a lot of people, yet you can still step away and find little corners where such shots are possible.
This shot is a classic example of what constitutes most of my street photography, or at least the one I enjoy the most and strive to produce:
A single subject in the shot and usually an attractive shadow
Black and White (shot in camera usually)
Clean leading lines
I have written many useful articles on my blog on the subject of street photography, in London, which I’ve now been practicing for a little over a decade.
My latest article covers the importance of understanding leading lines in photography:
I hope you find it useful, leave a comment if you have any questions or well… comments.
Until next time.
