Embankment Running Man // London Street Photography
This is one of my oldies and it’s always been a popular one. I shot it on my lunch break when once upon a time I worked in the City. Goodness how I was unhappy then, or rather unfulfilled.
So I’d escape at lunch, grab my camera and walk away from that horrid place to do what I truly love: Take photos.
Photography heals. I would know as it helped me during the toughest part of my life. It helped me.
It is a meditative process, just you and the camera. At times you forget all that is around is real and just live through the viewfinder which acts as a made-up protective barrier against the outside world and its reality. I feel good behind a camera.
I wrote an article on WHY PHOTOGRAPHY MATTERS to me. Perhaps you’ll find something in there that’s helpful or that you can relate to.
Until next time, stay safe.
